Lightweight Prosthesis

A normal day-to-day prosthesis can be manufactured using extremely lightweight balsa-wood that is laminated with Carbon Fibre to obtain optimal strength. The combination of carbon fibre, fibre glass the balsa-wood core and your selection of a prosthetic foot makes this prosthesis ultra strong and extremely lightweight.

During fitting and manufacturing your alignment is documented and adjusted before the prosthesis is finished. After you are completely satisfied with your final fitting the limb is covered with a lightweight foam cover and shaped to match your sound limb’s shape. You then have the choice to have the prosthesis covered by a poly-urethane superskin paint or a custom made silicone sleeve.

We will ensure that you receive a correctly fitted prosthesis, that will be both comfortable and reliable. When we manufacture budget prostheses we utilize prosthetic components that are cost effective, yet reliable. The alignment are correctly set with our L.A.S.A.R. equipment to ensure that you get optimal usage from your new prosthesis.
