Supporting our Athletes
South Africans are extremely proud of their Paralympic team who performed exceptionally well during the 2000, 2004 and 2008 Paralympic Games. Amputees such as Fanie Lombaard, Natalie du Toit and Oscar Pistorius are some of the amputated athletes who contributed towards the success of this team. Fanie Lombaard has been part of this practice since 1999.
It is a great honour to be able to contribute to Fanie’s successes n the past few years. Fanie, a true symbol of determination, won gold medal in the Beijing Games with a fractured hand. Fanie’s promise to his daughter that he will “bring home” a gold medal, motivated him to push through the boundaries of pain and achieved his goal. “Fanie, we commemorate your triumphs and your wining spirit”.
